We are in the process of establishing Helping Dreams Take Flight, a new Foundation Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Foundation CIO) dedicated to funding scholarships, bursaries, and charitable initiatives for individuals in aviation, aerospace, and engineering. Our goal is to help underprivileged individuals and those with disabilities access life-changing opportunities.

The Flyer Watch Company is committed to transparency in all its charitable activities and is now working with organisations and charities both in the UK and Australia. Helping Dreams Take Flight will operate as an independent charity to ensure clear governance and accountability in managing and delivering these initiatives.

To get this charity off the ground, we are looking for experienced professionals to join our Board of Trustees and play a key role in shaping its vision, governance, and long-term impact.

 

About the Role

 

As a trustee, you will:

​

• Help establish and guide the charity’s strategic direction to ensure its long-term success.

• Oversee governance and financial planning to maintain transparency and accountability.

• Support fundraising and partnership development to maximise the charity’s impact.

• Attend trustee meetings several times a year, primarily remotely, to review progress and approve funding decisions.

This is a voluntary position with a flexible commitment, making it ideal for professionals who want to contribute their expertise 

while balancing other responsibilities.

 

Who We’re Looking For

 

We welcome applications from individuals with expertise in:

• Business and finance (governance, financial management, fundraising)

• Charity and non-profit leadership

• Aviation, aerospace, and engineering sectors (though not essential)

• Legal, compliance, or public sector experience

You do not need to have an aviation background – we are particularly interested in business and finance professionals who can help develop and sustain the foundation’s growth.
