Celebrations are in order for Jon Hunt and the entire team behind The Flying Reporter Meet Up Marathon, as they have surpassed the impressive milestone of £6400 raised for Aerobility. This remarkable feat was not only a testament to their dedication but also marked an entry into the esteemed International Dawn to Dusk contest, generously sponsored by Pooleys Flight Equipment.
Setting off from Norwich at the crack of dawn, Jon and his co-pilot Scott embarked on a marathon journey, touching down at 12 airfields including Beccles, Seething, Old Buckenham, Earls Colne, Turweston, Sleap, Barton, Leeds East, Sherburn in Elmet, Gamston, and Fenland, before gracefully returning to Norwich as dusk fell.
Our team was privileged to lend support to Jon during his stopover in Sleap, Shropshire. It was a momentous occasion where Jon had the opportunity to connect with supporters and rally additional funds for the noble cause championed by Aerobility. The passion and commitment demonstrated by Jon and his team throughout this journey are truly commendable.
As we reflect on the accomplishments of this marathon, we cannot help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride in having played a small role in this incredible endeavour. Jon, the question arises: shall we embark on this journey once more tomorrow?
