SUPPORTING MAX'S HCAP GLIDING SCHOLARSHIP
At The Flyer Watch Company, Helping Dreams Take Flight is more than just our motto. It represents one of the main reasons we started the company: to use our passion for aviation to help create opportunities for the next generation.
This year, we were incredibly proud to support the Honourable Company of Air Pilots (HCAP) by funding a gliding scholarship at Midland Gliding Club, Long Mynd, giving scholar Max the opportunity to take to the skies.
Taking to the skies at Long Mynd
Set amongst the stunning Shropshire Hills, Midland Gliding Club at Long Mynd has a long history of introducing people to the unique challenge and freedom of gliding.
During the HCAP Gliding Scholarship Week, Max was able to immerse himself in the world of gliding, developing his flying skills and gaining invaluable experience alongside instructors and fellow aspiring aviators.
We were fortunate enough to visit Long Mynd during the scholarship week and meet Max, see his progress first-hand and experience the fantastic environment created by everyone involved.
