Helping Dreams Take Flight is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 aviation scholarship programme, offering both gliding and powered flying scholarships to aspiring aviators from a wide range of backgrounds.
Founded to remove financial and social barriers to aviation, Helping Dreams Take Flight exists to make flying more accessible and inclusive. The 2026 scholarship programme represents a major milestone in that mission, providing meaningful flight training opportunities and direct support to those taking their first steps into aviation.
The programme includes gliding scholarships and five-hour powered flying scholarships, designed to give recipients hands-on experience, confidence in the cockpit, and a genuine pathway into further training. The scholarships are open to applicants of all ages and backgrounds, including individuals who may not otherwise have access to aviation due to financial, physical, or social constraints.
Helping Dreams Take Flight works closely with trusted training providers and industry partners to ensure every scholarship delivers high-quality instruction, a supportive learning environment, and a positive first experience of flying.
Applications for the 2026 scholarships are now open and will close on 1 March 2026, with shortlisted candidates invited to interview later in the spring. Successful applicants will be announced following the selection process.
The charity was created by aviators and industry professionals who believe that talent and ambition should never be limited by opportunity. Through its scholarship programme, Helping Dreams Take Flight aims not only to introduce people to flying, but to inspire long-term involvement in aviation and help build a more diverse and inclusive future for the industry.
